Fescues

Forage Fescue is a perennial grass used to produce feed for livestock, commonly referred as just Fescue, it is easy to establish, tolerant to different styles of management and is a good yielder of forage.Fescue grows well over a long period of the year. The stands can persist for a long time of the year. The dense sod helps with damage from animal traffic in winter and early spring. Drought- tolerant because it has a deep root system but it is also tolerant of wet soils, soil acidity and alkalinity, and is also resistant to some pests.

Perennial Ryegrass

Forage Perennial ryegrass is a widely used grass and is adapted to a variety of soil types and climates. A taller pasture grass it used world wide form temperate to semi temperate areas. Perennial ryegrass is widely used as a source of both forage and hays its leafy head and fine stem is very palatable. Perennial Ryegrass will recover well from heavy grazing and shows ability to withstand and come back from being trampled.

Annual Ryegrass

Annual Ryegrass is a preferred forage grass for livestock. Annual Ryegrass has the ability to produce quality forage that will not go dormant through the winter and will produce forage into spring. Annual Ryegrass germinates in 7-10 days; it is often overseeding on pastures to produce flush of growth while the ground is warm.Annual Ryegrass can be planted on existing sod, burned stubble or land not prepared.Annual Ryegrass can be planted under unfavorable conditions either dry or wet. Annual ryegrass can recover rapidly after grazing or heavy traffic condition.

Festulolium

Festulolium is a cross between Italian ryegrass and meadow fescue. Festulolium shows good disease resistance and yielding ability.Festulolium will establish rapidly and has high forage production, especially in its first year.Festulolium can be used any time perennial ryegrass would be normally used and is an excellent addition where palatability and dry matter yield are both important. Festulolium can be used for grazing, hay, silage and green chop.

Clover

(Trifolium) is in the legume family.  They are annual, biennial or perennial plants.  The plants can convert nitrogen gas into nitrate.  When the plant dies the nitrate goes into the soil and is used by other plants.  Clover is high protein forage and is also high in all the nutrients that provide high quality feed.

Birdsfoot Trefoil

Trefoil limited seed available for 08.

Orchard Grass

Orchardgrass; is a bunch type, tall-growing, cool-season perennial grass. It is one of the most productive cool-season grasses, tolerant to shade, fairly drought resistant with moderate winter hardiness.Orchardgrass is well adapted to grow with legumes such as alfalfa, red clover and white clover. Ochardgrass will persist and make reasonable yields on soils that have moderately poor drainage, but will not tolerate wet areas. Ochardgrass is easy to establish, fast growing and matures early in spring and has a denser root system than smooth bromegrass, timothy or bluegrass.

Forbes & Herbs

Highly palatable, adaptable to a wide rand of pasture, works well with other grasses in producing higher levels of essential minerals for livestock.  These deep rooting, drought tolerant perennial herbs are high quality summer forages, yet will live through cold winters.

Timothy

(Phleum pretense) Need to add its biggest draw back requires re-growth the following fall.  Perennial grass provides high quality pasture but has low drought tolerance, high quality hay.

Bromes

Mixtures

Grains

Are multi-purpose crops that can be used for hay production, grazing and silage. During the winter months grains are used as a cover crop for soil erosion control.
